1830's Dresses

I was tasked with designing 8 dresses that the first year undergrad students would make as their final project for their first year. These 1830-40s dresses will be added to the UNCSA costume stock to be used in theatrical productions. using research from the time period, and guidelines for difficulty of the project, I created a few different variations of neckline, waistline, and sleeve, all with the same pleated dirndl skirt. I also was tasked with ordering all of the fabric for these dresses.

The dresses will be built in the Spring of 2026.
