Barbecue

Following the original script by Robert O'Hara, "Barbecue" follows the story of a troubled family welcoming home their sister from rehab. This story explores race, addiction, family, and stereotypes, using comedy as the tool to deepen these topics.

For the costumes, I customized the families' family reunion shirts, then changed the designs by having the characters "DIY" their costumes. From a rundown barbecue all the way to the Oscars, it was enjoyable to play with the fashion trends of the 2010's.
